NYS Tae Kwon Do Championship --- May 8th, 2010
The New York State Tae Kwon Do Association looks forward to your participation in this year's 2010 New York State Tae Kwon Do Championship. We hope all the competitors have a great event and enjoy meeting students from other schools who are actively participating in the martial arts.
The NYS Tae Kwon Do Association also wants
to thank all the volunteers who work late into the
night to make each event we host a success. As always, we wish to thank
all the Dojangs and their masters and instructors
who help organize and run these events. To the parents
- thanks again for your support. We know getting your competitors to
the event is not always easy and we do appreciate your support.
Event Details
This year's championship will be held on Saturday, May 8th, 2010 at Queens College - see the event directions section of this website if you need help finding Queen's College.
Registration opens at 8:00am and to 9:00am for athletes ages 13 years old and younger. Athletes will receive their tournament ID badges.
At 9:30am opening ceremonies start at 10:00am competition begins for ages 13 years old and younger.
All belts in this age group will be breaking, performing forms, and sparring per their registration choices. Are goal is to get all the young athletes finished by 12:00pm.
From 11:00am to 12:00pm age 14 and older pick up badges and weigh-in. At 12:00pm competition begins for age 14 and older. During this time, the older athletes will participate in the events of their choice - breaking, form, and sparring.
