Fall is fast
approaching and that means it is time for the Governor’s Cup Championship!I am very happy to announce that it
will be held on October 17th, 2009 in Queens College’s Fitzgerald
gymnasium. Once again we will be
including a breaking competition, and we will be allowing children younger than
6 years old to participate in all events.As with our 2008 competitions we will NOT have a minimum age requirement
for participation.Children of ALL
ages can participate.
I want to thank all of you for understanding and cooperating with our necessary cancellation of the State Championship in May 2009. We did this because of health concerns. The safety and wellbeing of our participants and staff is our most important concern. We will do our very best to provide you with a terrific competition experience on October 17th.
I sincerely hope you will continue to show support for Taekwondo and our State Association by participating in our Governor’s Cup Championship. I hope to see you all on October 17th. Together we will once again enjoy the many talents that our competitors have to offer, and witness the many skills that our Masters and Instructors have taught their students. Together we will once again celebrate the amazing abilities of our athletes that have made and continue to make New York State so proud.
